Brockley Kong country
And lo, the beast looked upon the face of beauty. And it stayed its hand from killing. And from that day, it was as one dead.
- King Kong
Want to look upon the face of Brockley's beauty while staring out of the window from a flat once inhabited by Edgar Wallace, author of King Kong, then this is the one for you.
We've been meaning to get a photo of Brockley's Wallace connection since Darrell alerted us on Twitter a few days ago, KFH have now done the job for us since they're a flat in a Tressillian Crescent house adorned with a blue plaque for £360,000.

That place has been on sale for a month or 2 now...
KFH's properties are always top dollar.
Ooooooh *lifts and shakes handbag in the general direction of HH*
"KHF's properties are always top dollar" A suspicious comment if ever I've seen one.
It would be amazing to live in a little flat with your very own blue plaque!
Is the vintage motorcycle parked out front included in the price?
KFH don't mess around, the house they are selling on Geoffrey Rd looks awful (that 63 foot outdoor area is NOT a garden), yet is on for £600K!
Good plug, take it you are selling Nick..? :)
KFH seem to be Brockley's most prominent estate agent though, they seem to sell a lot in these parts. I found them pretty helpful when I was looking back in 2006. One of their rivals told me that they call them KFC... Bitchy!
@HH - yes, they do seem to have more boards up than most.
KFH site says "Formally owned by Edgar Wallace". But who were the informal owners?
KFH are a bunch of cowboys - I feel sorry for whoever is selling this property and whoever ends up buying it for having to deal with them.
Do you work for Foxtons?
D - ditto. KFH Brockley have a near monopoly and the arrogance to go with it. KFH Peckham were always much nicer, guess it varies from year to year.
Would be nice to have your own blue plaque though!
branch to branch I mean!
Given that the property market is currently moving at the pace of an arthritic tortoise, I'd expect estate agents to be showing a bit more humility than in days of yore.
Wait... is this Brockley Central? No-one has mentioned mung beans in more than 10 posts. Apart from me.
@Matt-Z- well-spotted on the 'formally'. Very enjoyable.
Indeed - "informal owners" - love the notion.
Nice headline!
How about an article on late night pursuits on Hilly Fields - Brockley Dong Country
