The Meat Wagon hitches itself to New Cross
The Meat Wagon - purveyors of fine meaty food on the streets of London - is setting up a 'chop up restaurant and bar' above the Goldsmiths Tavern. Their website promises more details soon.
With thanks to Matthew.

It's our staff night out next Monday - if they're open by then they'll have at least 10 of us in for burgers. The burgers they served from the wagon at the Deptford Project were unreal - dripping with juice.
I wonder when Goldsmiths Tavern is closing as it now has new owners does it not?
The Meat Wagon is a term for a Police Van is it not ?, plenty of those around New Cross.
I know Yianni from way back and he was always very into food. Must catch the Meat Wagon now they're so close.
@anon #2, indeed it is, as used quite affectionately by a copper mate of mine.
In Australia meat wagon is also a colloquialism for an ambulance...this guy who runs the meat wagon very PR and marketing savvy, got some mileage outta his stolen van, even had a piece in the South London Press, think of what could have been if all those hot dog vendors in the west end and the jerk chicken vendors in peckham had been listening during marketing 101.
